Destin

Huge fans of Destin! The Emerald Coast has a lot going on in this little town "The World's Luckiest Fishing Village!" Excellent foods and quite a few activities (mostly outdoor) to spend you time with. We have a condo at the Palms of Destin Resort on the eastside of town where we stay at least twice a year.  

Restaurants:

• Crackings. $$: incredible breakfast, order from the Destin-Location Only section

• Donut Hole Bakery $: baked goods and tasty breakfast

• McGuire's Sushi $$: try McGuire's roll and Hurricane roll (Irish Pub is also very good, but always busy for dinner)

• Palm's Bistro $$: has yet to disappoint and commonly has nightly specials

• World of Beer $$: great late-night happy hour

• Boschamps $$$, Shrimp Basket $$, Dewey Destins $$: all great seafood

• Bonefish $$$: delicious brunch and butcher paper cloths

• Craft Bar $$: pub food and tasty drafts

Activities: 

• Henderson Beach State Park: small entry fee 

• Harbourwalk Village: shopping and restaurants

• The Track: "safe" carnival rides and arcade

• Urban Air: our favorite indoor spot on the overcast/rainy days

• Big Kahuna Waterpark: if you are not a fan of seawater

• Crab Island: rent a boat or take a water taxi to the famous spot (bring floats and something to use as an anchor!)

• Destin Commons: shopping and eateries galore
